Autogrill (Guccini)
We're the day birds
Deciding to fly against the sky
Within our dreams, we all wake up
To kiss the ones who are born to die
Harakiri (Serj Tankian)
Last thing I remember, I was
Running for the door
I had to find the passage back to the place I was before
'Relax' said the night man,
'We are programmed to receive.
You can check out any time you like,
But you can never leave!

Al momento mi vengono in mente queste:
It was then I knew I'd had enough,
Burned my credit card for fuel
Headed out to where the pavement turns to sand
With a one-way ticket to the land of truth
And my suitcase in my hand
[...]
But me I'm not stopping there,
Got my own row left to hoe
Just another line in the field of time
When the thrashers comes, I'll be stuck in the sun
Like the dinosaurs in shrines
But I'll know the time has come
To give what's mine.
Trasher (Neil Young)
I'll be your mirror
Reflect what you are, in case you don't know
I'll be the wind, the rain and the sunset
The light on your door to show that you're home
I'll be your mirror (Velvet Underground). -
.
Intanto queste...
In your room
Where souls disappear
Only you exist here
Will you lead me to your armchair
Or leave me lying here
Your favourite innocence
Your favourite prize
Your favourite smile
Your favourite slave
I'm hanging on your words
Living on your breath
Feeling with your skin
Will I always be here
In your room (Depeche Mode)
Suddenly!
A movement in the corner of the room!
And there is nothing I can do
When I realise with fright
That the spiderman is having me for dinner tonight!
Lullaby (The Cure)
When you fall and you can't find your way
Push your hand up to the sky
I will run just to, to be by your side
Don't you ever bat an eye
Now don't drown in your tears babe
Push your head towards the air
Now don't drown in your tears babe
I will always be there
Push your head towards the air (Editors). -

a guardare i tuoi sogni
arrivare leggeri
Mentre dormi (Max Gazzè)
C'è il temporale
E nelle case
T'avrei amata uguale
Canzone per Natale (Morgan). -
.
Qualche altra:
And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's
sinking
And racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in the relative way,but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death
Time (Pink Floyd)
Cómo cambiaría completamente la situación
si fuese a tu hijo a quien dedicase ésta canción
Caesar's palace, morning glory, silly human race
Yours is no disgrace (Yes). -

Could you whisper in my ear
The things you wanna feel
I'd give you anythin'
To feel it comin'
Do you wake up on your own
And wonder where you are?
You live with all your faults
I wanna wake up where you are
I won't say anything at all
So why don't you slide
Yeah, I'm gonna let it slide
Don't you love the life you killed?
The priest is on the phone
Your father hit the wall
Your ma disowned you
Don't supposed I'll ever know
What it means to be a man
It's somethin' I can't change
I'll live around it
[...]
And I'll do anythin' you ever dreamed to be complete
Little pieces of the nothin' that fall
Oh, May
Put your arms around me
What you feel is what you are
And what you are is beautiful
Oh, May
Do you wanna get married Or run away?
[...]
I wanna wake up where you are
I won't say anything
[...]
Yeah, slide between the sheets of all them beds you never knew
(Yeah slide)
Why don't you slide into my room
Just slide into my room
Oh, we'll run away, run away, run away

"Hurt"- Nine Inch Nails, testo di Trent Reznor.
I hurt myself today
To see if I still feel
I focus on the pain
The only thing that's real
The needle tears a hole
The old familiar sting
Try to kill it all away
But I remember everything
What have I become?
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know
Goes away in the end
You could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt
I wear this crown of shit
Upon my liar's chair
Full of broken thoughts
I cannot repair
Beneath the stains of time
The feelings disappear
You are someone else
I am still right here
What have I become?
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know
Goes away in the end
You could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt
If I could start again
A million miles away
I would keep myself
I would find a way

Baby this town rips the bones from your back
Its a death trap, its a suicide rap
We gotta get out while were young
`cause tramps like us, baby we were born to run
Bruce Springsteen - Born To Run. -
.
Spread out now Rosie doctor
come cut loose her mama’s reins
you know playin’ blind man’s bluff
is a little baby’s game
you pick up Little Dynamite
I’m gonna pick up Little Gun
and together we’re gonna go out tonight
and make that highway run
you don’t have to call me lieutenant Rosie
and I don’t want to be your son
the only lover I’m ever gonna need’s
your soft sweet little girl’s tongue
and Rosie you’re the one
Dynamite’s in the belfry playin’ with the bats
Little Gun’s downtown in front of Woolworth’s
tryin’ out his attitude on all the cats
Papa’s on the corner waitin’ for the bus
Mama she’s home in the window waitin’ up for us
she’ll be there in that chair
when they wrestle her upstairs
’cause you know we ain’t gonna come
I ain’t here for business, I’m only here for fun
Rosalita jump a little lighter
señorita come sit by my fire
I just want to be your lover ain’t no liar
Rosalita you’re my stone desire
Jack the Rabbit and Weak Knees Willie
you know they’re gonna be there
ah sloppy Sue and Big Bones Billie
they’ll be comin’ up for air
we’re gonna play some pool skip
some school act real cool
stay out all night it’s gonna feel alright
Rosie come out tonight, Rosie come out tonight
windows are for cheaters chimneys for the poor
closets are for hangers winners use the door
Rosalita jump a little lighter
señorita come sit by my fire
I just want to be your lover ain’t no liar
Rosalita you’re my stone desire
Now I know your mama she don’t like me
’cause I play in a rock and roll band
and I know your daddy he don’t dig me
but he never did understand
Papa lowered the boom he locked you in your room
I’m comin’ to lend a hand
I’m comin’ to liberate you confiscate you
I want to be your man
someday we’ll look back on this
and it will all seem funny
but now you’re sad your mama’s mad
and your papa says he knows
that I don’t have any money
tell him this is last chance
to get his daughter in a fine romance
because a record company Rosie
just gave me a big advance
My tires were slashed and I almost crashed
but the Lord had mercy
my machine she’s a dud out stuck in the mud
somewhere in the swamps of Jersey
hold on tight stay up all night
’cause Rosie I’m comin’ on strong
by the time we meet the morning light
I will hold you in my arms
I know a pretty little place
in Southern California down San Diego way
there’s a little cafe
where they play guitars all night and day
you can hear them in the back room strummin’
so hold tight baby
’cause don’t you know daddy’s comin’
Rosalita jump a little lighter
señorita come sit by my fire
I just want to be your lover ain’t no liar
Rosalita you’re my stone desire. -

Drink up one more time and I'll make you mine
Keep you apart deep in my heart separate from the rest
Where I like you the best
And keep the things you forgot
The people you've been before that you don't want around anymore
That push and shove and won't bend to your will
I'll keep them still
Between the bars- Elliott Smith
Well now everything dies baby that’s a fact
but maybe everything that dies someday comes back
put your makeup on fix your hair up pretty
and meet me tonight in Atlantic City
Now our luck may have died and our love
may be cold but with you forever I’ll stay
We’re goin’ out where the sand’s turnin’ to gold
so put on your stockin’s baby
`cause the night’s getting cold
And everything dies baby that’s a fact
But maybe everything that dies someday comes back
Atlantic City- Bruce Springsteen. -

Monkey killing
Monkey killing
Monkey over pieces of the ground
Silly monkeys give them thumbs
They make a club
And beat their brother down.
How they survive
so misguided is a mystery.
Repugnant is a Creature
who would squander the ability
To lift an eye to heaven
Conscious of his fleeting time here
(Right in two-Tool). -
.
Pink - "Don't Let Me Get Me", tutta la canzone, ma in particolare queste frasi:
Everyday I fight a war against the mirror
I can't take the person starin' back at me. -
.
You said that you could let it go. And I wouldn't catch you hung up on somebody that you used to know...
("Somebody that you used to know" - Gotye feat KImbra). -
.
And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share...
And no one dare
Disturb the sound of silence.
(The sound of silence-Simon & Garfunkel)
Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery
None but ourselves can free our minds
Have no fear for atomic energy
'Cause none a them can stop the time
How long shall they kill our prophets
While we stand aside and look
Some say it's just a part of it
We've got to fulfill the book
(Redemption song-Bob Marley).
